One way we help drivers in the Roswell, GA area select their perfect fit is with in-depth research and expert insight into our vehicles. For example, take the Porsche Macan SUV. Our team knows the ins and outs of this exciting model better than anyone, and we can tell you all about it, including what sets it apart from other, competing luxury models.

Learn more by checking out our current research into the Porsche Macan and how it stands out next to the similarly sized, competing Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV. While they may appear to have a lot in common on the surface, when you dive a little deeper, you'll find a number of key areas where our SUV comes out ahead. Allow us to explain.

2023 Porsche Macan vs. Mercedes-Benz GLC

  • Standard power and performance. As a world-renowned Porsche model, the new Macan is powerful and delivers a pulse-quickening level of power and agility that you won't find just anywhere. Starting right out of the gate with its entry-level model the Porsche Macan produces a robust 261 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. This is better and more powerful than the Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV, which starts its lineup off with a base model powertrain output of 255 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque.
  • Optional powertrain upgrades. Looking for a little more power from your luxury SUV? Both models have available upgrades with more output available in their lineups. Yet even at its most powerful, the Mercedes-Benz GLC struggles to keep pace with the Porsche model. There are two additional engine options available for the Porsche Macan, compared to the Mercedes-Benz with one available upgrade. Plus, maximum output for the Mercedes-Benz is 385 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque, while the Porsche Macan tops out with a nice 434 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque at its highest level.
  • Standard all-wheel drive. Regardless of which Porsche Macan model or powertrain you take home, every model receives the added peace of mind and welcome traction of all-wheel drive as a standard feature. But the Mercedes-Benz GLC doesn't get all-wheel drive as standard equipment. It's a rear-wheel drive model at its base level, and all-wheel drive isn't available until upper trims higher up in the list.
  • High-performance model and features. Porsche drivers have come to know and expect a lot from their favorite models, and the newest Macan models deliver. While great for everyday driving and commuting, the Porsche Macan has a special model and a unique package that you won't find anywhere else, including with the Mercedes-Benz GLC. Quicken your pace and your pulse with the range-topping Macan GTS, a twin-turbocharged model that comes with a variety of performance and design tweaks, such as an adaptive air suspension and upgraded brakes. Or, personalize your performance ability even further with the optional GTS Sport package, which adds even more performance-enhancing elements.
